A heated political showdown has erupted in Karnataka as BJP State President BY Vijayendra launched a scathing attack on the Congress government, accusing it of neglect and failed governance, especially in the Bidar district.
Vijayendra: “Congress Has Lost Its Existence”
While addressing the media, Vijayendra declared that the Congress party has lost relevance nationally, contrasting it with the global recognition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
“The Congress has lost its existence in the country. The world knows the strength of PM Modi. When BJP was in power, we gave ₹1,000 crore in grants to Bidar. Let the Congress show how much they’ve given since coming to power,” he challenged.
Kharge: BJP Ignoring Kalyan Karnataka
Responding from Kalaburagi, Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge turned the tables, accusing the Modi-led central government of ignoring development in Kalyan Karnataka.
“I’ve done more in one year than the BJP did in ten. They refuse to fund the Kadechur train coach factory despite all resources being provided,” Kharge said.
He further criticized the lack of support for Kalaburagi airport, where villagers donated land, but flights remain infrequent.
“The Modi government is only interested in IT and ED raids on opposition leaders,” he alleged.
