The Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR-starring movie War 2 has shown strength, even if its box office profits fell a lot on Saturday. After its first three days, it has made ₹142.35 crore. The movie is going up against superstar Rajinikanth’s Coolie at the box office.

According to Sacnilk, an industry tracker, War 2 had a huge launch on August 14, the day it came out to take advantage of the lengthy Independence Day weekend. It made ₹52 crore on its first day. On Friday, the trend kept going, and the price went up to ₹57.35 crore.
But on Saturday, the third day of its release, the movie’s box office numbers dropped sharply, earning an estimated ₹33 crore, a 42% drop. Trade analysts were worried about this drop, but the film is now predicted to have a significant rebound on Sunday, which will decide its place in the box office battle.

It’s amazing that War 2 has gotten so close to the ₹150 crore threshold in just three days, especially since it was up against Coolie. Rajinikanth’s movie, which came out the day after War 2, is currently in the top with a total of ₹158.25 crore.
War 2 was directed by Ayan Mukerji and stars Kiara Advani and Anil Kapoor in important roles. The movie is one of the biggest projects in the YRF Spy Universe, and it’s said to have cost more than ₹300 crore to make. In the next several days, its performance will be very important in determining if it can close the gap and beat its strong rival.
