As the public spat between Elon Musk and US President Donald Trump intensifies, Musk’s estranged daughter, Vivian Wilson, appears to be enjoying the moment. Vivian, who has long been distanced from her billionaire father, reacted to the explosive political fallout with laughter and a viral Instagram post.
The clash between Trump and Musk erupted on Thursday, with both men exchanging pointed attacks after Musk criticized Trump’s much-touted “big, beautiful bill” and publicly parted ways with the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
Vivian responded indirectly on Instagram Stories, where she shared a video of herself laughing with the caption:
“I love being proven right.”
She further teased her audience by saying,
“I do not want to comment,”
before bursting out in laughter.
In a separate post on Threads, she wrote:
“Such beauty in life”
with the satirical track “Job Application” by Chase Icon playing in the background — widely interpreted as a dig at her father.
Vivian, who identifies as transgender, has been vocal in the past about her strained relationship with Musk. The Tesla CEO once accused her of being “tricked” into transitioning at the age of 16, blaming the so-called “woke mind virus” for “killing his son.”
The Trump-Musk Feud
The former allies engaged in a bitter war of words on Thursday. Trump claimed Musk had turned against him after the administration rolled back electric vehicle mandates, adversely affecting Tesla. Musk, in return, alleged that he was never shown the controversial bill and accused Trump of being mentioned in the Epstein files.
“Trump’s name is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public,” Musk posted online.
He also resurfaced a quote by Trump describing Jeffrey Epstein:
“He’s a lot of fun to be with… and many of [the women] are on the younger side.”
Musk concluded with a sarcastic: “Have a nice day, DJT!”
In response, Trump threatened to cancel Tesla and SpaceX’s federal contracts, prompting concerns of severe financial consequences. The White House did not comment when asked about Musk’s Epstein-related allegations.
Meanwhile, Vivian’s pointed reactions have sparked a wave of online commentary, with many seeing her posts as a symbolic rejection of her father’s current political entanglements.
