Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked in the early hours of Thursday at his residence in the ‘Satguru Sharan’ building, Bandra. The shocking incident has sent ripples across the film industry and alarmed his fans.
According to police reports, the intruder entered Saif’s 11th-floor residence via the fire escape, allegedly attempting a burglary. When the actor intervened to de-escalate a confrontation between the intruder and his maid, the situation turned violent.
Medical Update:
Saif Ali Khan sustained six stab wounds, two of which were deep and one located dangerously near his spine. A foreign object was identified near his spine during medical evaluation. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital at 3 am, where a team of doctors, led by Dr. Niraj Uttamani, successfully performed surgery.
“Saif Ali Khan has come out of surgery and is currently out of danger. He is in recovery, and the doctors are closely monitoring his progress. All family members are safe,” the actor’s team confirmed in a statement. They extended gratitude to the medical team and fans for their prayers and support.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Zone 9, Dixit Gedam, revealed that burglary appeared to be the motive. “The accused used the fire escape to enter the residence. A suspect has been identified, and 10 detection teams are working in different directions to arrest him,” said DCP Gedam.
