May 02, 2025: Indian cricket star Virat Kohli broke his silence after fans spotted that his verified Instagram account liked a fan page post of actress Avneet Kaur, sparking a wave of speculation and memes across social media.
Amid the online buzz, Kohli addressed the incident through an Instagram Story, attributing the interaction to a technical glitch while managing his feed. “I’d like to clarify that while clearing my feed, it appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was absolutely no intent behind it. I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made. Thank you for your understanding,” he wrote.
The statement aims to cool down the speculative frenzy, with Kohli emphasizing that there was no deliberate engagement with the post.
Currently busy with the IPL 2025 season, Kohli remains in fine form for his franchise.
