Virat Kohli, Indian Cricketers Salute Armed Forces After Operation Sindoor Strikes Terror Camps

New Delhi [India], May 9: Top Indian cricketers, including Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Suryakumar Yadav, have expressed deep gratitude to the Indian Armed Forces for their valiant actions during Operation Sindoor, which targeted and destroyed nine terrorist camps in Pakistan in retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack.

Virat Kohli took to Instagram, stating:

“We stand in solidarity with and salute our armed forces… We are forever indebted to our heroes for their unwavering bravery.”

Jasprit Bumrah echoed similar sentiments on X, praising the armed forces’ “courage and bravery,” while Suryakumar Yadav emphasized the role of the military in safeguarding citizens, writing:

“Massively proud of our forces and their resilience… Big salute to your strength and determination.”

These tributes come in the wake of Pakistan’s multiple drone and ceasefire violations (CFVs) across the Line of Control (LoC) and Western border, which the Indian Army successfully thwarted.

The Akash surface-to-air missile system, deployed by both the Army and the Air Force, played a pivotal role in neutralizing drone threats, according to defence officials.

Operation Sindoor was launched as a robust counteroffensive following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 innocent lives. Indian forces continue to maintain high alert as tensions persist across the borders.
