Vincy Sony Aloshious Opens Up About Co-Star’s Drug Use And Misbehaviour On Set: “It Was Very Difficult To Shoot”

Malayalam actress Vincy Sony Aloshious, known for her performances in Rekha, Vikruthi, and Jana Gana Mana, has made a bold revelation about her unpleasant experience with a male co-actor who allegedly used drugs and misbehaved during a film shoot.

🎬 Vincy’s Strong Anti-Drug Stand Sparks Debate

Vincy recently attended an anti-drug awareness campaign, where she stated that she would not act in movies that cast actors known to abuse drugs. Her statement sparked a mixed response online, prompting the actress to post a clarification video on Instagram to explain the reasoning behind her stand.

“Some days back at an anti-drug campaign, I said I will not work with actors who use drugs. After that, I saw a lot of comments. So I felt I should explain why I said that,” she said in the video.

⚠️ Shocking Allegations Against Co-Star

Without naming the actor, Vincy recounted disturbing incidents from one of her recent film shoots. She claimed that her co-star, who was also the lead, was under the influence of drugs and behaved inappropriately with her and a colleague.

“The artist used drugs and misbehaved with me and my colleague,” she said.
“Once, I had a problem with my costume and went to fix it. He publicly said, ‘I will come and correct it for you.’ This was said in front of everyone. It was very difficult to continue the shoot after that.”

She further recalled witnessing the actor spitting white powder onto a table while practicing a scene, which she alleged was a sign of drug use.

🎥 Despite Complaints, the Project Continued

Aloshious revealed that crew members and the director were aware of the issue, but due to the actor’s role as the main lead, the team chose to continue and complete the film.

“Everyone knew. The director spoke about it. But since he was the lead artist, they had to finish the movie somehow,” she said.

💬 Public Reaction and Courageous Stand

Her decision to speak out has received both support and criticism, with some accusing her of being overly selective, while others have praised her for showing courage.

Vincy clarified that her stand is not personal or judgmental, but based on her own experience of discomfort and distress on a professional set.

“I’m not doing this video to target anyone. I’m doing this because I want to make my position clear,” she emphasized.

🧠 A Wake-Up Call for the Industry?

Vincy’s revelation has once again brought attention to the issue of drug use in the entertainment industry and the toxic working environments some actors face behind the scenes.

Her call for professionalism, accountability, and safer film sets adds to the growing discourse around industry ethics and personal conduct in Indian cinema.
