TAMIL NADU, ARIYALUR — Actor-politician Vijay, who is also the head of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), spoke at a big campaign rally in Ariyalur on Saturday night. He said he was still committed to serving the public and denied charges that he got into politics for personal benefit. His speech was the second public campaign rally of the day, after one in Tiruchirappalli.
When he got to the old bus stand, there were a lot of fans there. He apologized for being late and said it was because of a microphone problem at his last meeting. “Vanakkam.” “I’m sorry I’m late,” he said from the top of his campaign car. “Nothing is bigger than the love and care you are giving me.”
Vijay was clear in his message to his fans during his address, which lasted about fifteen minutes. “What’s the big deal with money? I’ve seen enough of it. Should I get into politics to make money? He said, “No need.” “I have no other goal than to help you.” He talked about his main ambitions for the state, saying that he wanted to make Tamil Nadu free of hunger and corruption and give people “governance with conscience.”

The TVK leader also attacked his political opponents, saying that they have started “saying a lot of things” because of all the support he has had from the public. He said he will ignore the criticism and get back to work.
Vijay’s complaints were aimed at both the central and state governments. He said that the BJP-led federal government was trying to “murder democracy” by pushing for a “One Nation, One Election” strategy. He further said that the program and the recent delimitation exercise were meant to “destroy the opposition parties and weaken the southern states so that the northern states had more constituencies.” He also talked about the situation of 65 lakh voters who were supposedly missing from the electoral record in Bihar, calling it a “theft of votes.”
The actor said that the incumbent DMK administration in Tamil Nadu was “deceiving” the people by not keeping its promises. He replied to the Chief Minister, “My dear CM sir, you are giving out reels.” Will you respond to the questions? No, you won’t.
The gathering showed how Vijay’s political presence is expanding and how he is directly challenging the traditional political parties in Tamil Nadu. The huge turnout showed that the actor has a lot of admirers and party members who support him.
