Bihar Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha Criticizes Tejashwi Yadav For ‘Hiding’ Lalu’s Legacy During Elections

Patna (Bihar) [India]: Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha launched a scathing attack on RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav following a heated exchange in the Bihar assembly between Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the former Deputy CM during the post-budget speech.

Sinha accused Tejashwi of praising his father, Lalu Prasad Yadav, in the assembly but “hiding his father’s face during elections” due to the latter’s controversial past. He also claimed that Tejashwi opposes the values of Sanatan culture.

Speaking to the media, Sinha said:
“Today, Tejashwi Yadav was praising his father Lalu Prasad Yadav… even though he is praising him today, he covers his face during the elections for the bad deeds he has committed.”

Sinha also highlighted that the BJP has always distanced itself from dynasty politics, contrasting it with the RJD’s legacy-driven leadership.
“All big leaders of BJP are not from dynasty politics. BJP has always stayed away from dynasty politics… Tejashwi Yadav has gone away from Sanatan and opposes the values,” he further stated.

Nitish Kumar’s Claim on Lalu’s Political Rise

Earlier in the assembly, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar asserted that he played a pivotal role in shaping the political career of Lalu Prasad Yadav. In response to an interruption by Tejashwi, Kumar remarked:
“What was there in Bihar earlier? It was me who made your father what he became. Even the people from your caste questioned me on why I was supporting him, but I still did.”

Bihar BJP President Lauds State Budget

Meanwhile, Bihar BJP President Sanjay Jaiswal praised the state budget, calling it “historic” and highlighting the significant increase in budget allocation over the years. He emphasized that the new infrastructure projects, including airports, would propel the state’s development under the NDA.

Jaiswal said:
“The budget is historic. During Lalu Prasad Yadav’s tenure, the budget cost would be Rs 30,000 crores, and today, after 20 years, the budget cost is Rs 3 lakh crores. New projects on infrastructure and the Airport will give a new direction to the development of the state under NDA.”
