Actor Vijay Deverakonda had a close call today when his automobile crashed on National Highway-44 (Hyderabad-Bengaluru Highway) near the Jogulamba Gadwal district in Telangana.
Reports say that Vijay was driving from Puttaparthi in Andhra Pradesh to Hyderabad when another automobile hit his car from behind. The crash harmed his Lexus LM350h, but thankfully, no one got hurt.
Police added that the other car that was in the incident did not stop and kept going toward Hyderabad. After the accident, Vijay’s driver went to the police station to file a report. A case has been filed, and police are looking into who owns the car that caused the accident.
Vijay Deverakonda made it safely to Hyderabad following the incident, even though it shocked him.
Vijay Deverakonda’s Trip to Puttaparthi
Vijay and his family were coming back after a spiritual visit to Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s Prasanthi Nilayam Ashram in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, when the accident happened.
His visit occurred just days after news broke that Vijay Deverakonda and actress Rashmika Mandanna had a private engagement ceremony on October 3. People close to the pair reported that the ceremony took place with intimate friends and family members, although the couple has not formally announced the engagement.
Fans quickly noticed an engagement ring on Vijay’s finger in images during his trip to Puttaparthi, which led to even more conjecture.
Sources say that Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna would get married in February 2026, although neither of them has said anything about their plans in public.
