Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) [India]: Actor Vidyut Jamwal expressed his happiness upon arriving in Prayagraj to witness the spiritual magnificence of Maha Kumbh..
Speaking to media, Vidyut praised India’s rich cultural heritage and traditions.
“My mother had a dream of taking a holy dip in Maha Kumbh… so I am here…It is a divine place…We are actors, we play several roles but in the end, we all are Sanatani…All the youths should play their responsibilities towards their family, society…The time has come, we should bring back yoga to our culture…Moving towards Western culture is not bad but we should not forget our culture,” he said.
Recently, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, along with his son Anant Ambani and other family members, also arrived in Prayagraj to take part in the ongoing Maha Kumbh.
According to official data, with 15 days remaining before the conclusion of Maha Kumbh, the total count of sadhus, devotees, Kalpavasis, and bathers has already surpassed 450 million as of Tuesday morning. By 8 AM on Tuesday, around 5 million devotees had taken a holy dip at Triveni Sangam, pushing the overall number beyond 450 million. With two major bathing festivals yet to take place, the total count is expected to exceed 500 million.
Several prominent figures, including President Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath (along with his cabinet), have also participated in the sacred ritual.
Maha Kumbh 2025, which began on Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025), is regarded as the world’s largest spiritual and cultural gathering, drawing millions of devotees from across the globe. The grand event will continue until Mahashivratri on February 26.
