Washington [US], December 25: Victoria Beckham, the iconic pop star-turned-fashion designer, recently shared her role in the Beckham family’s Christmas celebrations. “I do not do the cooking; I prepare the drinks,” Victoria revealed, adding with a laugh, “I’ll be the bartender – someone’s got to do it.”
While Victoria takes care of the beverages, her husband, former footballer David Beckham, is in charge of the kitchen. “David will be doing the cooking. He’s actually a really good cook,” Victoria praised. “He loves the whole prep.”
In a lighthearted moment, Victoria also joked about her lack of culinary skills, revealing that their daughter Harper often teases her. “Harper says I can burn water, so it’s probably better for everyone that I don’t cook,” she said.
Earlier this year, Victoria explained how she manages stress in her life, which notably involves staying out of the kitchen. “By not taking on anything I genuinely don’t think I can do. Oh, and by not cooking,” she had shared.
The Beckham family, including their four children—Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 19, and Harper, 13—are all familiar with Victoria’s self-proclaimed cooking shortcomings. Brooklyn, in particular, has often spoken about his love for cooking, which he attributes to his father. “My dad was always the one cooking in the house; my mum, not so much,” Brooklyn said earlier this year. “I just loved hanging out with him in the kitchen. I loved the smell of food.”
