New Delhi [India], February 11: Vicky Kaushal’s upcoming film, Chhaava, is set to release on February 14, 2025. In preparation for his role as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, he underwent a significant physical transformation, gaining 25 kilograms to authentically portray the Maratha king. Reflecting on this change, Vicky shared his wife Katrina Kaif’s reaction:
“She was very happy and she was so happy to the point that she misses ‘Chhaava’ now. Vo har Chhaava ka poster aate hai to 4-5 likes uski taraf se aate hai and with the comment ‘Ye kahan gaya’ (Pointing towards Vicky’s character in the film),” Vicky revealed.
He also mentioned that Katrina is eagerly anticipating his next film, Mahavatar, due to his bearded look in it.
After completing the shoot for Chhaava, Vicky indulged in his favorite street foods, saying, “I ate gol gappe and chaat after wrapping up the shoot.”
The film, directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Maddock Films, is a period drama that chronicles the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, beginning with his coronation in 1681. It also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna.
Chhaava is scheduled to release in theaters on February 14, 2025.
