Birbhum (West Bengal), February 28: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar visited the Tarapith Shaktipeeth temple in Birbhum, West Bengal, on Friday, offering prayers and reflecting on the significance of India’s religious heritage. After the visit, Dhankhar expressed feeling “blessed” and sought blessings for the welfare of humanity. He emphasized his commitment to promoting Indian traditions and working towards people’s welfare with renewed dedication.

In his remarks, Dhankhar said, “There is no other nation like India, as our religious places and faith in them prove it. After coming here, we can feel India’s stature in the world. Our religious places are sources of inspiration.”
Vice President Dhankhar is currently on a one-day tour of West Bengal. Tarapith is one of the most revered Shakti Peethas in the Birbhum district, drawing numerous devotees from across the country.
As part of his visit, Dhankhar will also preside over the Closing Ceremony of the 150th Birth Anniversary celebrations of Acharya Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Prabhupad, founder of the Gaudiya Mission, in Kolkata.
Earlier this week, Dhankhar also addressed a gathering in Arunachal Pradesh, where he highlighted the state’s immense potential for power generation, stating that Arunachal Pradesh could generate up to 50,000 MW of power. He noted the massive investment opportunity of Rs 5 lakh crore, urging local communities to seize the opportunity and preserve their culture.
Dhankhar praised the “Act East” policy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, noting the transformation of the previous “Look East” policy into action, which he believes is crucial for the region’s development.
