Veteran Producer Mahendra Bohra Passes Away at 79; Son Karanvir Bohra Shares Emotional Tribute

Veteran film producer Mahendra Bohra, father of actor Karanvir Bohra, has passed away at the age of 79. His death has left the film and television industry mourning the loss of a respected filmmaker who remained associated with Hindi cinema for decades.

Karanvir Bohra’s Emotional Note

Taking to Instagram, Karanvir Bohra shared a heartfelt message remembering his father and the values he instilled in him. The actor wrote that losing a parent leaves an irreplaceable void but also brings comfort in knowing that his father lived a full and meaningful life.

In his emotional tribute, Karanvir described his father as a strong and dignified man who always believed in staying hopeful even during difficult times. He recalled how Mahendra Bohra taught him important life lessons — from perseverance and positivity to kindness and professionalism.

Karanvir also shared that his father always wished to leave the world peacefully and on his own terms, a wish that, according to him, came true.

A Legacy in Bollywood

Born in 1946 in Jodhpur in a Marwari family, Mahendra Bohra began his career in the Hindi film industry in the 1970s. Over the years, he produced several films and was especially known for action cinema in the 1990s.

Among his notable productions were Tejaa, starring Sanjay Dutt, and Takkar, which featured Sunil Shetty and Naseeruddin Shah.

Mahendra Bohra came from a filmmaking family. He was the son of filmmaker Ramkumar Bohra, who directed stunt films such as Thief of Baghdad and Hercules.

Mahendra Bohra’s contribution to Hindi cinema and his legacy in the industry will continue to be remembered by colleagues, friends, and fans.
