Varun Dhawan’s Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai POSTPONED To Avoid Clash With Toxic

In a significant move for the Indian film industry, the makers of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai have officially postponed the film’s release to June 12, 2026. Originally slated to hit screens on June 5, the decision comes in response to the rescheduled release of Yash’s highly anticipated project, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, which is now set for June 4. The shift ensures that both big-budget productions have breathing room at the box office, prioritizing industry health over direct competition.

The announcement was made via an official statement on Tuesday, highlighting a spirit of professional solidarity. The makers noted that while their date had been set months in advance, they felt it was more appropriate to move rather than engage in an unnecessary clash. “We strongly believe that it is always healthier for the industry when filmmakers support one another,” the statement read, confirming that the Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde starrer will arrive exactly one week later than planned.

Despite initial rumors that the schedule change caught the team off guard, clarifications from KVN Productions suggest a much more collaborative process. KVN owner Mr. Venkat reportedly reached out personally to producer Ramesh Taurani to discuss the overlapping dates. Facilitated by Anil Thadani, these transparent discussions took place well before the official public announcement, ensuring that the transition was handled cordially and without friction between the two production houses.
