The premiere of Colors TV’s high-stakes reality show The 50 (February 1, 2026) has already plunged into chaos following the shocking first elimination of YouTuber and “outsider” Vanshaj Singh.
The decision, made collectively by five of the show’s captains—Karan Patel, Prince Narula, Shiv Thakare, Faisal (Faisu) Shaikh, and Krishna Shroff—has sparked a massive social media war, with Vanshaj launching a scathing attack on the TV veterans.
The “Political” Elimination
The elimination process began with 10 captains leading teams of five. After a task left 25 contestants in the “danger zone,” a musical chairs challenge narrowed the pool to 10. The winning captains were then tasked with choosing one person to leave immediately.
- The Reason: Karan Patel stated that Vanshaj was chosen because he had the “least interaction” with the other 49 contestants.
- The Backlash: Contestants like Sapna Chaudhary and Khanzaadi immediately questioned the logic, arguing that it was too early to judge social connections. Vanshaj himself pointed out that as an “outsider” in a room full of established industry cliques, he was being penalized for simply needing more than a few hours to open up.
Vanshaj Singh’s Scorching Instagram Retaliation
Vanshaj did not hold back after exiting the show, using his Instagram stories to vent his frustration through a series of personal attacks:
On Karan Patel: Vanshaj called the Yeh Hai Mohabbatein star a “mandbuddhi” (slow-witted) and mocked his age, writing, “I hope your weak old joints pain today… you deserve to be sent to an old-age home.” He vowed to remain a “lifetime hater” and keep reminding Karan of his name for the next decade.

On Prince Narula: Labeling the reality show king a “hypocrite,” Vanshaj accused Prince of manipulating thousands of young kids every year. He claimed Prince represents everything he stands against and played “dirty politics” to remove him.

- On the Industry “Cabal”: He termed the captains “absolute clowns” and “cliquey,” suggesting they were threatened by an outsider who played the game fairly rather than engaging in manufactured drama.
