Uttarakhand To Have Its Pavilion In Prayagraj Mahakumbh

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], December 22: Uttarakhand will have its own pavilion at the Prayagraj Mahakumbh-2025, with the Prayagraj Mela Authority allotting 100×400 sq ft of land free of cost in Sector-7 Kailashpuri Marg, Eastern Track Prayagraj. This was confirmed in a press release issued by the Uttarakhand Chief Minister’s office.

The pavilion will showcase the rich culture of Uttarakhand, offering pilgrims a glimpse of the state’s heritage. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed gratitude to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the land allocation.

With preparations for the Mahakumbh-2025 underway, work has already started in Uttarakhand to ensure the provision of necessary facilities for pilgrims. Chief Minister Dhami had requested the Uttar Pradesh government to allocate a separate plot of land for Uttarakhand’s pavilion, and this land has now been allotted accordingly. The state government will provide all essential facilities at the pavilion for the comfort of the pilgrims.

In addition, Chief Minister Dhami held a meeting with officials to ensure proper arrangements for Uttarakhand’s saints and other participants at the Mahakumbh. The government will also make transportation arrangements to ease the movement of pilgrims.

Notably, Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Baby Rani Maurya and Minister of State Brijesh Singh visited Dehradun to personally invite Uttarakhand’s Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Retd) and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to the Mahakumbh fair.

CM Dhami emphasized that Uttarakhand, being the source of the sacred rivers Ganga and Yamuna, takes great pride in the Mahakumbh being held at the confluence of these rivers in Prayagraj. He assured that Uttarakhand will participate in the event with full devotion and will work alongside the Uttar Pradesh government to ensure its success. In case additional water is needed for bathing, Uttarakhand will release extra water, and full support will be provided for transportation and other arrangements.
