Uttarakhand Govt Initiates Madrasa Verification Process, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami Takes Strong Stance

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced on Thursday that the state government has launched a comprehensive verification of madrasas across the state. This initiative aims to ensure that all educational institutions are in compliance with legal requirements and regulations.

In his statement, CM Dhami emphasized that strict action would be taken against anyone operating madrassas without proper authorisation. “We have given clear instructions for the verification of madrasas in the state. We will take strict action against those found running madrassas illegally,” he said.

The verification will likely involve assessing the credentials, infrastructure, and adherence to educational norms and government regulations for madrassas across the state.

In addition, CM Dhami responded to Samajwadi Party (SP) Chief Akhilesh Yadav’s remarks about the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. “Those who have fired on kar sevaks, those who are against the Ram Mandir, will not understand the importance of Kumbh. One should not talk like this, whoever goes to Kumbh will be great. This will be a grand event under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi,” said Dhami.

Meanwhile, preparations for Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj have intensified. Indian Railways has announced plans to operate over 10,000 trains, including 3,300 special trains, to accommodate the influx of millions of devotees traveling for the Sangam Snan.

As part of enhanced security arrangements, Uttar Pradesh Police will implement a seven-layer security scheme to ensure the safety of attendees. Additionally, over 2,700 AI-enabled cameras have been installed, and 125 road ambulances and seven river ambulances have been deployed for the event.

The Mahakumbh will begin on January 13, with the main bathing rituals scheduled for January 14 (Makar Sankranti), January 29 (Mauni Amavasya), and February 3 (Basant Panchami). Over 45 crore devotees are expected to participate in the event.
