Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Discusses Film Policy With Suniel Shetty In Dehradun

Dehradun (Uttarakhand), June 11: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty in Dehradun on Tuesday to discuss the state’s evolving film policy and explore future collaborations in the entertainment sector.

Taking to Instagram, CM Dhami shared photos from the meeting, where he and the veteran actor were seen warmly greeting each other and engaging in discussion. In his post, the Chief Minister wrote, “Met Bollywood actor Mr. @suniel.shetty in Dehradun. On this occasion, there was discussion with him regarding the film policy of the state.”

The interaction highlights Uttarakhand’s growing interest in promoting the region as a filming destination through a progressive and industry-friendly film policy.

Suniel Shetty, who recently appeared in the historical drama Kesari Veer alongside Sooraj Pancholi and Vivek Oberoi, continues to be active with several upcoming projects. Kesari Veer, directed by Prince Dhiman and produced by Kanu Chauhan, is based on the heroic tale of lesser-known warriors who defended the Somnath Temple in the 14th century.

Chauhan described the film as a passion project rooted in history, while Dhiman emphasized his deep research efforts to maintain historical accuracy in the storytelling.

Suniel Shetty’s upcoming lineup includes The Legend of Somnath, Welcome to the Jungle, the Lionsgate series Nanda Devi, and Hunter 3, reaffirming his presence across both cinema and digital platforms.
