Dehradun, July 2, 2025: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday extended a warm welcome to Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt at his official residence in Dehradun. Bhatt, recently re-elected as the Uttarakhand state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), was congratulated by the Chief Minister, who wished him success in his second consecutive term. State General Secretary (Organisation) Ajaey Kumar was also present at the meeting.
On July 1, Bhatt expressed his gratitude to the central BJP leadership and CM Dhami for their trust and support. He emphasised that the party’s focus in his new term would be to secure victories in the upcoming Panchayat elections and State Assembly polls.
Mahendra Bhatt has been serving as the BJP state president since July 30, 2022, and his re-election underscores the leadership’s confidence in his ability to steer the party in Uttarakhand.
Meanwhile, CM Dhami virtually addressed the Shrimad Bhagwat Saptaah Gyan Yagna-Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, organised by the Jagdish Swaroop Vidyanand Ashram Trust at Bhimgoda, Haridwar. Highlighting the spiritual significance of the event, Dhami said,
“Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran is not an ordinary text but embodies the divine words of Shri Krishna himself. It beautifully describes the four purusharthas — devotion, knowledge, detachment, and religion.”
He added that in today’s materialistic era, where many are mentally and spiritually disturbed, listening to the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha provides guidance towards inner peace and self-realisation.
Separately, on June 30, CM Dhami attended the Space Technology and Applications Conference 2025, focusing on the role of Himalayan states in achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a Developed India by 2047 (Viksit Bharat @ 2047). ISRO Chairman Dr. V. Narayanan graced the event as Chief Guest. Dhami hailed the conference as a milestone for the integration of cutting-edge technology and regional development in the Himalayan belt.
