The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is expected to release the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2026 notification later this week, following a short postponement due to administrative reasons.
The notification was originally scheduled to be issued on January 14, 2026. However, UPSC informed candidates through an official notice that the release of notifications for both the Civil Services Examination 2026 and the Indian Forest Service Examination 2026 had been deferred and would be announced “in due course”.
While the commission has not yet confirmed a revised date, sources indicate that the notification is likely to be published soon on UPSC’s official website, upsc.gov.in. Once released, candidates can access the notice under the ‘What’s New’ section on the homepage and download the PDF for detailed information.
The UPSC CSE 2026 notification will outline crucial details including the number of vacancies, participating services, eligibility criteria, age limit and relaxation norms, nationality requirements, and educational qualifications. It will also provide information on the application process, registration and closing dates, application fee, and correction window.
