Uttar Pradesh To Showcase Mahakumbh 2025 And Cultural Heritage At Global Tourism Fairs

The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government is taking a significant step to position the state as a premier global tourism destination. According to an official press release, the state will showcase its tourism offerings at the International Tourism Trade Fairs in Madrid, Spain, and Berlin, Germany.

A key highlight of this global initiative is the presentation of Mahakumbh 2025, recognized as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity. The event will emphasize its spiritual, historical, and cultural significance on the international stage.

Aligned with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision, Mahakumbh 2025 serves as both a religious and spiritual event and a testament to India’s rich historical legacy. The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department has carefully planned to maximize visibility for this event at both international fairs.

The global outreach aims to attract visitors worldwide to experience Mahakumbh 2025 and explore the diverse tourism attractions and unique offerings of Uttar Pradesh.

Grand Pavilions at Global Fairs

At the International Tourism Trade Fair (FITUR) in Madrid, Spain, scheduled from January 24 to 28, 2025, a 40-square-meter pavilion will showcase Uttar Pradesh’s cultural and spiritual wealth. Similarly, a pavilion of the same size will be featured at the ITB Berlin Fair from March 4 to 6, 2025.

Thematic pavilions will focus on Mahakumbh 2025 and Uttar Pradesh’s rich cultural heritage, supported by VVIP lounges for B2B (Business-to-Business) and B2C (Business-to-Consumer) sessions. To ensure broader reach, promotional materials will be available in English and local European languages.

Boosting Brand UP and Attracting Investments

The fairs will also promote Uttar Pradesh as “Brand UP,” a land deeply rooted in the Buddha and Sanatan faiths. Discussions with key stakeholders from major tourism sectors and potential investors will aim to attract foreign investments into the state.

Tourism sector representatives, including tour operators from host and neighbouring countries, will engage with Uttar Pradesh officials. In addition, the state will promote its ODOP (One District One Product) items and other traditional crafts alongside its spiritual and cultural heritage.

This initiative underscores Uttar Pradesh’s commitment to enhancing its global tourism profile and fostering international partnerships.
