Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met President Droupadi Murmu in New Delhi on Sunday and extended an invitation for her to attend the Maha Kumbh 2025, set to take place in Prayagraj.
CM Yogi also invited Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena to the mega event.
He presented the dignitaries with an invitation letter, alongside the Maha Kumbh 2025 logo, an urn, literature about the event, a New Year table calendar, and a diary.
CM Yogi arrived in Delhi on Saturday, where he met several key figures, including former President Ram Nath Kovind, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP National President and Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, and Mizoram Governor General VK Singh, to invite them to the Kumbh. He presented each dignitary with gifts related to the Maha Kumbh.
The Maha Kumbh will take place from January 13 to February 26, 2025, in Prayagraj. CM Yogi and his ministers are touring different states to invite both dignitaries and the general public.
In a statement, Uttar Pradesh Minister Jaiveer Singh said, “The Maha Kumbh will be historic, amazing, grand, and divine. A new record will be set in the world. Strict arrangements have been made, and no one will face any problems.“
Additionally, Uttar Pradesh Tourism is preparing a spectacular drone show for the event. The show will feature 2,000 drones illuminating the skies over Sangam Nose, telling mythological stories connected to the Maha Kumbh and Prayagraj. The show will depict iconic events such as the Samudra Manthan (ocean churning) and the emergence of the Amrit Kalash (Nectar Pot).
The Maha Kumbh, held once every twelve years, will draw millions of visitors, and the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department is working hard under CM Yogi Adityanath’s guidance to ensure it provides unique experiences for all attendees.
