Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 09: Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan confirmed on Tuesday that his official Instagram account, which was recently hacked, has now been fully recovered and secured.
Sharing the update via his Instagram Stories, the actor expressed gratitude toward both the Meta team and his followers for their support during the ordeal.
“I’m pleased to confirm that my official Instagram account @iamunnimukundan has been successfully recovered and is now fully secure. The matter has been thoroughly resolved, and full administrative control has been restored,” Unni wrote in a statement.
He extended heartfelt thanks to the Meta team for their “prompt action, technical expertise, and steadfast support.” He also appreciated his fans for being alert and cautious during the hack.
“To everyone who remained cautious, refrained from engaging with any suspicious activity, and reached out with concern—thank you for your trust, patience, and continued support,” he added.
Earlier on Tuesday, the actor had issued a public alert, warning fans not to interact with any content posted from the compromised account.
“My official Instagram account @iamunnimukundan has been hacked!! Any updates, DMs, stories, or content going out from that account are not from me. Please do NOT engage or click on any suspicious links,” he had cautioned.
With the issue now resolved, Unni Mukundan’s Instagram presence has been restored, much to the relief of his fans and followers.
