Union Minister Nityanand Rai Accuses RJD And Congress Of Defaming Bihar

Patna (Bihar), March 16: Union Minister Nityanand Rai has strongly criticized the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress, accusing them of tarnishing the image of Bihar. Speaking to the media, Rai pointed out that the rule of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi had left Bihar “sick” and far behind in terms of development.

Rai expressed his discontent, saying, “Today, there are some people in Bihar who are engaged in defaming Bihar, that is, the rule of Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi, who had made Bihar sick and kept it far away from development.”

He further criticized the leadership of both RJD and Congress for obstructing the state’s growth and progress. Rai emphasized that Bihar was now moving forward on a positive trajectory under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. “Bihar is on the path of development… employment opportunities are being found here and Nitish Kumar is implementing all the schemes of the central government,” he said.

Rai also addressed the issue of caste-based politics and “jungle raj” under RJD and Congress leadership, suggesting that the people of Bihar were fed up with these issues. He expressed confidence that the upcoming elections would result in a decisive victory for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). “The people of Bihar are now fed up with ‘jungle raj’ and casteism, so in the coming days, RJD, Congress will be wiped out and NDA will form the government here with a huge majority,” Rai asserted.

Meanwhile, RJD leader and former Bihar Minister Tej Pratap Yadav made headlines over his controversial remark during Holi celebrations. He was seen telling a policeman to “dance or be suspended” during a Holi event at his official residence in Patna on March 14. Yadav responded to the backlash by accusing the BJP, RSS, and the media of politicizing the festival and spreading hatred.

“Don’t mind, it’s Holi… Even this festival of mutual brotherhood has been given a new color of hatred by the BJP, RSS, and their lapdog media…,” Yadav posted on X, accompanied by a cartoon mocking media organizations. He also criticized the political discourse surrounding Holi celebrations, adding, “The people of the country will soon teach them a lesson.”
