The latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 19 has ignited a firestorm of controversy online after host Salman Khan severely reprimanded contestant Farrhana Bhatt. While Salman lashed out at her for her use of foul language and attitude toward fellow housemate Pranit More, Farrhana’s team and supporters have rallied to her defence, accusing the host and the makers of being biased and unfairly targeting her.
🎤 Salman Khan Slams Farrhana Bhatt
During the episode, Salman Khan questioned the thought process of both Farrhana and Tanya Mittal for their behavior towards Pranit More. He sarcastically mocked their self-proclaimed titles: “Spiritual motivator — they don’t even know the ‘S’ of spirituality. Peace activist — they don’t even know the ‘P’ of peace.”
He highlighted Farrhana’s comment towards Pranit upon his return from an illness: “A man returns home after recovering from illness and you say, ‘Let him celebrate, another fool has been added’.”
Salman also pulled up Farrhana for allegedly degrading the television industry, making pointed remarks about her professional background: “She’s done just one scene in Notebook and a six-second role in Simmba. But look at her attitude.”
🛡️ Team and Fans Hit Back at Host
Farrhana’s team quickly took to social media, reposting several fan stories on Instagram to defend her and accuse the makers of partiality towards specific contestants, namely Gaurav Khanna and Amaal Mallik.
One fan note, reposted by her team, called the episode “hard to watch” and claimed Salman Khan “completely humiliated Farrhana on national TV.” While conceding she may have used harsh words, the note questioned the brutality of the insult:
“It’s starting to feel unfair and one-sided now. We’re not saying she’s right but what about others your nepo kids,” the note added.
Another note claimed the “makers want to portray Farhana Bhatt in a bad light and others in a good light,” accusing the show of “white washing TV stars.”
A particularly strong rebuke accused the host of being biased towards Amaal Mallik: “Why the silence when a woman was being humiliated on national television? You whitewashed, babysat, and gave a PTM for a man-child who crossed every single limit it’s about every woman who’s been insulted and ignored while people like you looked away.” The team further suggested that the focus on TV stars (like Gaurav Khanna) led to a perception among some contestants that they are guaranteed winners.
