Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Saturday that a team of Ukrainian negotiators is currently traveling to the United States for talks regarding Washington’s plan to end the ongoing war.
In a post on X, President Zelensky confirmed the diplomatic movement, stating, “Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and head of the Ukrainian delegation Rustem Umerov, together with the team, is already on the way to the United States.”
The trip signifies a continuation of high-level discussions between Kyiv and Washington aimed at achieving a resolution to the conflict, with the US expected to outline its strategic proposals.
