Trump Thanks Pakistan For Extraditing Wanted Terrorist To US

Washington, DC [US]: US President Donald Trump expressed gratitude to Pakistan for assisting in the arrest of the terrorist responsible for the Abbey Gate bombing in Afghanistan during the 2021 withdrawal of American forces. In an address to a joint session of Congress, Trump stated that the United States is once again “standing strong” against radical Islamic terrorism.

Trump recalled the 13 American service members killed in the suicide bombing at Kabul airport during the withdrawal, criticizing the operation under the Biden administration as “disastrous and incompetent”. He referred to the withdrawal as possibly the “most embarrassing moment” in U.S. history.

“America is once again standing strong against the forces of radical Islamic terrorism,” Trump declared.
“Tonight, I am pleased to announce that we have just apprehended the top terrorist responsible for that atrocity, and he is right now on his way here to face the swift sword of American justice,” he added.

He extended special thanks to Pakistan for its cooperation in capturing the suspect, describing the day as “momentous” for the families of the 13 victims and the 42 others injured in the attack.
“What a horrible day,” Trump remarked, reflecting on the tragic incident.

Revival of U.S. Shipbuilding Industry

In his speech, Trump also announced a plan to resurrect the American shipbuilding industry, covering both commercial and military sectors. He revealed the creation of a new Office of Shipbuilding within the White House and special tax incentives aimed at boosting the industry.

“To boost our defense industrial base, we are also going to resurrect the American shipbuilding industry,” he said.

Criticism of Biden Administration’s Economic Policies

Trump accused the Biden administration of causing an economic catastrophe and the worst inflation in 47 years.
“We inherited from the last administration an economic catastrophe and an inflation nightmare,” he stated, vowing to reverse the damage and “make America affordable again”.

Ending Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Policies

Trump announced that his administration had ended the “tyranny” of diversity, equity, and inclusion policies across the federal government and private sector. He emphasized a focus on merit-based hiring.
“Our country will be woke no longer,” he declared, crediting the Supreme Court for a “brave and very powerful decision” that enabled this shift.

Challenges with Democratic Lawmakers

Trump expressed frustration over the lack of support from Democratic lawmakers, claiming there is “absolutely nothing” he could do to gain their approval.
“This is my fifth such speech to Congress… They won’t do it, no matter what,” he said, referring to their reluctance to applaud his achievements.

Executive Orders and Actions

Highlighting his administration’s achievements, Trump mentioned signing nearly 100 Executive Orders and taking over 400 Executive Actions in just six weeks since assuming office.
“The people elected me to do the job, and I am doing it,” he asserted.
