Fact Check: Donald Trump Say “It Burns When I Pee” At The UN General Assembly?

NEW YORK – Many people on social media sites like TikTok, Reddit, Facebook, and X have spread the idea that President Donald Trump suddenly stopped speaking at the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday to say, “It burns when I pee.” But looking at the complete transcript and video of the address shows that the president did not say it.

It looks like the viral allegation came from a funny post on Instagram by an account called WKM TV. The phony news item added even more details, saying that Trump “quickly continued his prepared remarks” as if nothing had happened and that a UN translator repeated the sentence in “over 30 languages.” The tweet also suggested that the hashtag #BurnsWhenIPee was popular all around the world.

The funny post got more than 85,000 likes and millions of views, which made it propagate across many sites as a real news article.

Important Points from Trump’s Speech at the UN

In fact, President Trump’s speech to the 80th session of the UN General Assembly was mostly about his “America First” policy and how bad he thought global institutions were. The main points of his speech were:

National Sovereignty: Trump said that every country should put its own people and interests first.

Economic Policies: He talked on how the U.S. economy was growing and called for fair trade, which included tariffs.

Criticism of the UN: He said that the UN is not doing its job and that it uses “empty words” instead of “action” to settle issues throughout the world.

Trump said that China and India were the “main funders” of the war in Ukraine because they kept buying Russian energy. This is something he has said before.

He said again that he had “ended seven wars,” including the one between India and Pakistan, and quipped that he should get the Nobel Peace Prize for his work.

He said that the Teleprompter wasn’t working, which added to the fact that his address was not prepared. His speech was a mix of warnings that were confrontational and calls for collaboration, but it didn’t include any personal or medical comments.
