Former President Alleges “Totally Illegal” Payments to Stars like Beyoncé and Oprah, Amidst Own Epstein Controversy
Washington, US – July 27, 2025 – In a fiery statement Saturday, US President Donald Trump launched a scathing attack, demanding the prosecution of Kamala Harris and several prominent American celebrities. Trump claims they illegally received and paid millions of dollars for endorsements during the 2024 presidential election, labeling the alleged actions “totally illegal” and accusing Democrats of flagrantly breaking campaign finance laws.
Taking to his Truth Social account, Trump specifically accused Harris of spending vast sums to “buy” endorsements from major stars, including singer Beyoncé, TV host Oprah Winfrey, and civil rights activist Al Sharpton. He unequivocally alleged that these endorsements were not genuine expressions of support but rather paid transactions, calling for immediate legal action against all involved.
“I’m looking at the large amount of money owed by the Democrats, after the Presidential Election, and the fact that they admit to paying, probably illegally, Eleven Million Dollars to singer Beyonce for an ENDORSEMENT (she never sang, not one note, and left the stage to a booing and angry audience!), Three Million Dollars for ‘expenses,’ to Oprah, Six Hundred Thousand Dollars to very low rated TV ‘anchor,’ Al Sharpton (a total lightweight!), and others to be named for doing, absolutely NOTHING!” Trump’s post read, detailing his accusations. He further claimed, “These ridiculous fees were incorrectly stated in the books and records. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PAY FOR AN ENDORSEMENT. IT IS TOTALLY ILLEGAL TO DO SO.”
Trump did not mince words about the potential implications, adding, “Can you imagine what would happen if politicians started paying for people to endorse them. All hell would break out! Kamala and all of those who received Endorsement money BROKE THE LAW. They should all be prosecuted.”
Trump’s Claims Surface Amidst Epstein Case Controversy
This fresh, aggressive attack from Trump comes amidst ongoing controversy surrounding his own handling of the recently unsealed Jeffrey Epstein case files.
Earlier, Trump had already slammed the investigation into the Epstein case as a politically motivated “con job” orchestrated by Democrats, designed to distract from what he touts as his successful six months in office, as reported by The Hill.
“The Radical Left Democrats are everything in their power to distract and obfuscate from our GREAT six months of service to America, results of which many are saying is the BEST six months in Presidential history,” Trump posted on Truth Social. He continued, “They have gone absolutely CRAZY, and are playing another Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax but, this time, under the guise of what we will call the Jeffrey Epstein SCAM. Hopefully, the Grand Jury Files will put an end to this HOAX.”
According to The Hill, Trump has instructed Attorney General Pam Bondi to work towards releasing the grand jury testimonies of both Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. This decision follows increasing public pressure for greater transparency from both political parties, including strong calls from within Trump’s own MAGA base.
