Trump Declares Victory In Iran-Israel Conflict: “My Great Honour To Destroy All Nuclear Facilities And Stop The War”

Washington DC [US], June 25: Former US President Donald Trump took to Truth Social on Tuesday to declare his “great honour” in brokering a ceasefire between Iran and Israel, claiming credit for destroying Iran’s nuclear capabilities before halting what he called “THE WAR.”

Trump’s statement follows a dramatic sequence of military escalations and retaliations between Israel and Iran, which brought the Middle East to the brink of a full-scale regional conflict.

🔥 Trump: “Both Wanted to Stop the War”

“Both Israel and Iran wanted to stop the War, equally! It was my great honour to Destroy All Nuclear facilities & capability, and then, STOP THE WAR,” Trump posted on Truth Social.

His comments came after a U.S.-brokered ceasefire was announced earlier in the day, following several rounds of missile exchanges, drone strikes, and precision bombing campaigns.

🧨 Timeline of the Escalation

  • June 13: Israel launches “Operation Rising Lion”, a large-scale strike on Iranian nuclear and military infrastructure.
  • Following Days: Iran retaliates with “Operation True Promise 3”, targeting Israeli military and strategic sites.
  • June 22–23: The United States joins the conflict, launching precision airstrikes on three key Iranian nuclear sites: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.
  • June 24: Iran fires missiles at US bases in Iraq and Qatar, prompting diplomatic interventions from Washington.

✈️ Violations & Renewed Tensions

Despite the ceasefire announcement, violations followed quickly:

  • The Israeli Air Force (IAF) carried out a limited strike on a radar site north of Tehran.
  • Iran responded by launching two ballistic missiles at Israel, reigniting fears of further escalation.

Frustrated, Trump stated:

“They’ve been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the f*** they’re doing.”

🤝 Netanyahu, Hegseth React

The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office confirmed that after a direct conversation with Trump, Israel decided to refrain from further action — at least for now.

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz, in a post on X, praised Trump’s leadership:

“I thanked him for his bold decision to act with Israel against the Iranian nuclear threat… Israel will respect the ceasefire — as long as the other side does.”

He also noted his discussion with US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, confirming plans to deepen US-Israel defense cooperation.

🕊️ Ceasefire Status: Fragile but Holding

The situation remains highly volatile, with both sides showing limited restraint. While the official ceasefire remains “in effect,” as Trump earlier claimed, both nations have been quick to test its boundaries.

This ceasefire marks a significant moment in regional diplomacy — but whether it will hold or give way to another wave of strikes remains uncertain.
