Donald Trump Appoints Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, And Sylvester Stallone As Special Ambassadors For Hollywood

US President-elect Donald Trump announced on Thursday the appointment of Hollywood icons Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone as Special Ambassadors for Hollywood, California.

In a statement, Trump emphasized their mission to revitalize Hollywood, which he claimed has suffered significant business losses to foreign markets in recent years.

Taking to the social media platform Truth Social, Trump shared:

“It is my honour to announce Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone, to be Special Ambassadors to a great but very troubled place, Hollywood, California. They will serve as Special Envoys to me for the purpose of bringing Hollywood, which has lost much business over the last four years to foreign countries, back–bigger, better and stronger than ever before!”

Expressing confidence in their talents and vision, Trump promised a revival of Hollywood’s former glory:

“These three very talented people will be my eyes and ears, and I will get done what they suggest. It will again be, like The United States of America itself, The Golden Age of Hollywood.”

Key White House Appointments

The announcement follows Trump’s recent unveiling of key appointments for his White House team ahead of his January 20 inauguration. Stanley E. Woodward will serve as Assistant to the President and Senior Counselor, Robert Gabriel Jr. as Assistant to the President for Policy, Nicholas F. Luna as Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Implementation, and William Beau Harrison as Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations.

Historic Victory

Donald Trump won the 2024 US presidential election with 312 electoral votes against Kamala Harris’ 226, also securing the popular vote. This victory marks him as the second US leader to serve two non-consecutive terms in history, following Grover Cleveland. Trump will officially be sworn in on January 20.
