Donald Trump, sworn in as the 47th President of the United States, outlined several bold initiatives in his inaugural address at the US Capitol in Washington, DC. The address highlighted plans to restructure taxation, trade policies, and military protocols while emphasizing a return to traditional values and energy independence.
Establishment of the External Revenue Service
President Trump announced the creation of the External Revenue Service (ERS), a new agency aimed at taxing foreign nations instead of U.S. citizens.
“I will immediately begin the overhaul of our trade system to protect American workers and families,” Trump said. “Instead of taxing our citizens, we will tariff and tax foreign countries to enrich our citizens. For this purpose, we are establishing the External Revenue Service to collect all tariffs, duties, and revenues.”
Trump asserted that this move would bring “massive amounts of money” from foreign sources into the U.S. Treasury.
Return to Law and Order
The President vowed to restore law and order across the country, emphasizing a policy that officially recognizes only two genders: male and female.
“As of today, it will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders, male and female,” Trump declared. He added, “We will forge a society that is colour-blind and merit-based.”
Reinstating Service Members Expelled Over Vaccine Mandates
Trump announced plans to reinstate military personnel expelled for refusing the COVID vaccine mandate.
“I will reinstate any service members who were unjustly expelled from our military for objecting to the COVID vaccine mandate with full back pay,” he said. The President also pledged to shield armed forces from “radical political theories and social experiments,” redirecting focus to defeating America’s enemies.
National Energy Emergency and Energy Independence
President Trump declared a national energy emergency aimed at combating inflation and reducing energy prices.
“The inflation crisis is caused by overspending and massive and escalating energy prices. That is why I also declare a national energy emergency,” he stated. He emphasized utilizing America’s vast reserves of oil and gas, adding, “We will drill, baby, drill.”
Trump promised to make the U.S. a leading manufacturing nation again, leveraging its unparalleled energy resources.
