Mumbai (Maharashtra), January 5: The much-anticipated trailer of Himesh Reshammiya’s Badass Ravi Kumar has finally been unveiled. This retro-action musical, set to release in theatres on February 7, is a tribute to Bollywood’s golden era, featuring high-octane action, unforgettable characters, and punchy dialogues.
A continuation of Himesh Reshammiya’s character Ravi Kumar from The Xposé, Badass Ravi Kumar is a narrative filled with the quintessential masala magic of the 1980s. Directed by Keith Gomes and produced by Himesh Reshammiya Melodies, the film boasts a stellar ensemble cast including Prabhu Deva, Kirti Kulhari, Sanjay Mishra, Saurabh Sachdeva, Prashant Narayan, Manish Wadhwa, and others.
The trailer is packed with intense action sequences, captivating songs, and stylish drama, perfectly capturing the essence of retro Bollywood. The sharp and memorable dialogues, penned by Bunty Rathore—who also wrote for The Xposé—add to the film’s nostalgic charm while delivering fresh, punchy lines.
Originally slated for release on October 11, 2024, the film’s release was postponed for undisclosed reasons. Himesh had earlier expressed his excitement about the project, drawing inspiration from Bollywood legends like Vijay Anand, Manmohan Desai, and Subhash Ghai. “Badass Ravi Kumar will be a complete package with visuals, action, and music that will offer a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” he said.
The film’s music, composed by Himesh Reshammiya, promises to be another highlight, adding to the film’s thrilling appeal.
