The dark and immersive universe of Yash’s highly anticipated film, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups, has just revealed another enigmatic piece of its puzzle. Following the striking first looks of Kiara Advani as the melancholy Nadia, Huma Qureshi as the glamorous Elizabeth, and Nayanthara as the lethal Ganga, the makers have now introduced Tara Sutaria as Rebecca.
The Reveal: Rebecca – A Gilded Mess
Tara Sutaria’s character, Rebecca, is described as a “gilded mess with a trigger finger.” Despite a fragile and beautifully unraveled appearance, she wields authority like a second skin. Known for her sophisticated “pretty girl” roles, Sutaria is set to shatter her archetype in this gritty, volatile world.
Director Geetu Mohandas shared a heartfelt insight into casting Tara, noting her silent but powerful performance:
“I realized early on that the best way to reach her was not by pushing… but by allowing her the space to simply be. In her silence, something powerful was brewing. What emerged was nothing short of breathtaking.”
The ‘Toxic’ Universe: Cast and Characters
The film is shaping up to be a powerhouse of talent, featuring a diverse ensemble cast:
| Actor | Character | Vibe/Role |
| Yash | Protagonist | Suave, stylish gangster |
| Nayanthara | Ganga | Formidable; reportedly playing Yash’s sister |
| Kiara Advani | Nadia | Melancholy and beautiful; love interest |
