Tom Holland’s ‘Spider-Man 4’ Release Date Pushed To July 31, 2026

Washington [US], The release date for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4 has been delayed, with the film now scheduled to hit theaters on July 31, 2026, a week later than originally planned. Previously slated for a July 24 release, the delay was announced by Sony Pictures, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

The highly anticipated Marvel film will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the filmmaker behind Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Holland, who will reprise his role as Peter Parker, confirmed during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that production for Spider-Man 4 will begin in mid-2025. “Next summer, we start shooting. Everything’s good to go – we’re nearly there,” said the actor, expressing excitement for the upcoming project.

This shift in release date places Spider-Man 4 just after Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, which also stars Holland and premieres on July 17, 2026. The fourth Spider-Man movie follows the success of the previous trilogy, which grossed over $1 billion globally, with Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) being a major box office hit. The new film will continue this momentum after the release of Avengers: Doomsday.

Cretton, who has previously worked on Marvel projects like Shang-Chi and is developing a sequel to the film, is now focused on bringing Spider-Man 4 to the big screen.
