Washington [US] – The countdown has begun for the release of ‘Mission Impossible – The Final Reckoning’, set to hit theatres on May 23. Ahead of the film’s launch, star Tom Cruise treated fans to a glimpse of its breathtaking shooting location — Svalbard, a remote Arctic region situated between Norway and the North Pole.
In a behind-the-scenes video shared on Tuesday, Cruise took viewers through the snowy, untouched landscapes of Svalbard, offering a rare peek into the extreme conditions the crew faced while filming the final installment of the blockbuster franchise.
“Svalbard is just, it’s breathtakingly beautiful. What an absolutely remarkable place to be able to film. It is a unique experience,” Cruise said in the video.
The footage showed the cast and crew braving the frozen terrain, working through challenging conditions to deliver the adrenaline-pumping action sequences fans have come to expect from the Mission Impossible series. Known for performing his own stunts, Cruise emphasized how filming in real and rugged settings adds authenticity and excitement to the film.
Alongside the video, Cruise captioned:
