Indore (Madhya Pradesh) [India], December 9: Singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh addressed concerns raised by fans about the black marketing of tickets for his ongoing Dil-Luminati Tour 2024.
During his performance in Indore, Diljit interacted with the audience and shared his thoughts on being blamed for the black marketing of his concert tickets. “For some time now, in our country, there has been talk about ‘Diljit’s tickets being sold in black.’ How is it my fault that this is happening? If you buy a ticket for Rs 10 and sell it for Rs 100, what does the artist have to do with it?” Diljit remarked.
He went on to highlight the long-standing issue of black marketing in India, referencing a famous shayari by the late poet Rahat Indori. “This is not something new. Since the days of cinema in India, black marketing of tickets has been going on; only the avenues have changed,” he added.
Diljit’s Dil-Luminati concerts have been creating a buzz, attracting large audiences and celebrity appearances. Recently, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone made a special appearance at Diljit’s Bengaluru concert, just months after giving birth to her daughter, Dua. A video shared by Diljit’s team on Instagram showed Deepika enjoying the performance, dressed in a white sweatshirt and jeans, looking thrilled as she grooved to the live music.
This marked Deepika’s first public outing after the birth of her child.
