“Today Is Ram’s Birthday—We Pray for the World’s Welfare”: Hanumangarhi and Ram Mandir Overflow With Devotees on Ram Navami

Ayodhya witnesses spiritual fervor as thousands gather at Hanumangarhi and Ram Janmabhoomi temples to celebrate Lord Ram’s birth with devotion, rituals, and vibrant festivities.

Ayodhya, April 6: Spiritual energy enveloped the sacred city of Ayodhya as thousands of devotees poured into Hanumangarhi and Ram Janmabhoomi temples to celebrate Ram Navami, the divine birth anniversary of Lord Ram, on the final day of Chaitra Navratri.

At the revered Hanumangarhi Temple, the morning began with an early Aarti at 3 am, followed by a day of relentless footfall as devotees lined up to seek blessings.

“Today is Lord Ram’s birthday. I extend my heartfelt greetings and pray for the welfare of the world,” said Mahant Raju Das, priest of Hanumangarhi.

As is tradition, many pilgrims took a holy dip in the Saryu River before heading for darshan at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, which was breathtakingly decorated with floral arrangements and radiant lighting, befitting the occasion.

“The energy here is something else… It’s overwhelming to be in Ayodhya today,” shared a devotee from Varanasi, waiting in line for darshan.

Another pilgrim echoed the sentiment, saying,

“The arrangements here are excellent. Everything is smooth and peaceful. It feels like a blessing just to be here.”

Additional SP Madhuban Singh confirmed large-scale deployment of police personnel and proper crowd and parking management.

“We’ve ensured safety, security, and comfort for all visitors. The turnout is massive, and the spirit is high,” he said.

Celebrated across India, Ram Navami marks the culmination of Chaitra Navratri and is especially important in Ayodhya, believed to be the birthplace of Lord Ram. On this day, many devotees also perform Kanya Pujan, honoring young girls as manifestations of Goddess Durga.

As bells rang and chants echoed through the temple town, Ayodhya once again stood as the heart of devotion, unity, and divine celebration.
