New Delhi [India], April 30: Veteran actor Tiku Talsania shared heartfelt memories of working with superstar Shah Rukh Khan, recalling a special moment when Khan let him drive his newly purchased car—an experience he cherishes to this day.
“He bought a new car and gave me a ride in it. I asked if I could drive, and he said, ‘Take it.’ I drove to Nariman Point and back. It was a big moment for me that Shah Rukh Khan let me drive his car,” Talsania told.
The two have appeared together in several films including Devdas, Duplicate, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, and Oh Darling Yeh Hai India. Talsania lauded Shah Rukh as “a great actor whose merit list exceeds even his vast filmography,” adding that such talent justifies his title “King Khan.”
Recalling a moment on the sets of Oh Darling Yeh Hai India (1995), Talsania mentioned a delay in payments leading to tension. “I told him the cheque had bounced six times. Despite this, we continued working. He supported and understood, like always.”
He also highlighted the overwhelming love Shah Rukh receives from fans. “They would surround him and pull his hair out of affection. We had to escort him back to the set—it was madness.”
Talsania, known for his comedic flair in hits like Andaz Apna Apna, Ishq, Hungama, and Dhamaal, expressed his desire to play a villain, stating, “Every actor wants to explore different roles.”
He also voiced interest in reprising a role if a sequel to the cult classic Andaz Apna Apna is ever made. “Why not? It’s an iconic film,” he said enthusiastically.
Talsania will soon be seen in the Gujarati film Jai Mata Ji – Let’s Rock, directed by Manish Saini and scheduled for release on May 9. “I liked the script and the director’s vision, so I agreed to do the film,” he said.
The actor’s daughter, Shikha Talsania, is also making her mark in Bollywood with performances in Veere Di Wedding and Wake Up Sid.
