Los Angeles— The 77th Primetime Emmy honors on Sunday created history. Seth Rogen’s comedy series The Studio won 13 honors, breaking the record for the most wins by a comedy series in a single season. Last year, The Bear earned 11 Emmys in its second season, which was the most for a show at the time. The Peacock Theater hosted the ceremony, where 15-year-old Owen Cooper made history by winning Best Supporting Actor for the limited series Adolescence.
Severance from Apple TV+ had the most nominations with 27, while The Studio was the major winner of the night. Seth Rogen won for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and Directing for a Comedy Series with Evan Goldberg. Evan Goldberg also won for Writing.
Apple TV+ had a great night with its two big shows, The Studio and Severance. Tramell Tillman won for Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for Severance, and Britt Lower won for Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
Adolescence also did quite well, winning in several important limited series categories, such as:

Jean Smart (for Hacks) and Hannah Einbinder (for Hacks) also won acting awards in the comedy categories. This was the first time comedian Nate Bargatze hosted the ceremony. CBS showed the awards live, and Paramount+ streamed them. People in India could watch the program on JioHotstar.
