Washington, DC [US]: Actress Arienne Mandi, who starred in Netflix’s popular series “The Night Agent,” will be a series regular on NBC’s “Chicago P.D.” for the 13th season.
Mandi will play Officer Naomi Kerr, a character who has been described by Deadline as a former soldier and military contractor who thrives in risky and high-stakes scenarios. In addition, she is described as a “fearless outsider who keeps her cards close to the vest.” It’s crucial to remember that during the production process, character names and descriptions might change.
As they tackle the most heinous crimes in the city, such as organized crime, drug trafficking, and high-profile murders, the men and women of the Chicago Police Department’s elite Intelligence Unit are the focus of “Chicago P.D.”
Given that Sergeant Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) was responsible for the murder of Deputy Chief Charlie Reid (Shawn Hatosy), Naomi Kerr’s arrival coincides with a particularly turbulent time for the team. The full impact of these incidents is yet to be determined, even though Detective Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Officer Dante Torres (Benjamin Levy Aguilar) appear to have escaped consequences for Torres’s affair with his confidential informant and Burgess’s attempt to conceal it.
The long-running thriller series also stars Patrick Flueger and LaRoyce Hawkins.
Toya Turner’s departure from “Chicago P.D.”
Relatedly, Toya Turner has left the NBC police procedural and will not be playing Kiana Cook again in Season 13. Turner said, “I’m grateful for the time I had bringing Kiana to life,” in reference to her time on the show. I want to thank everyone for their kind welcome. Although the network has not made clear the reasons behind her departure, reports from June 2025 suggested she would not be coming back, and her character, who debuted in Season 12, had a relatively short tenure.
Mandi’s Additional Initiatives
In addition to “Chicago P.D.”, Arienne Mandi is currently starring as Noor Taheri in Season 2 of Netflix’s espionage thriller “The Night Agent.” She also appears in Guy Nattiv’s highly regarded feature film “Tatami,” which debuted at the Venice Film Festival and is a gripping political thriller about an Iranian judoka who must make a tough choice. In addition, Mandi will co-star with Jon Hamm in the second season of “Your Friends & Neighbours” on Apple TV+.
