Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], June 22: On the occasion of his 51st birthday, Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay treated fans to the much-anticipated teaser of his upcoming film Jana Nayagan.
Titled “First Roar,” the 65-second teaser offers a powerful first look at Vijay in his final film before his expected entry into politics. It begins with Vijay’s voice declaring, “You guys will live in my heart,” followed by striking visuals of him in a police uniform walking through a war-like setting with a lathi in hand. The teaser’s gritty visuals and intense tone hint at a serious, action-packed drama.
Alongside the teaser, the film’s new poster was released, showing Vijay seated regally on a throne with a sword in hand, set against a smoky and dramatic backdrop.
Jana Nayagan, directed by H. Vinoth and backed by producer Venkat K. Narayana under KVN Productions, features music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on January 9, 2026, coinciding with the Pongal festival.
Earlier, on Republic Day, Vijay had revealed the first look of the film, showing his character taking a selfie amidst a massive crowd—a moment that sparked widespread fan excitement.
Vijay was last seen in The Greatest of All Time, a sci-fi action film directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by AGS Entertainment. The 2024 blockbuster followed a RAW agent’s mission gone wrong and its haunting consequences years later, making it one of the year’s biggest hits.
Jana Nayagan holds deep emotional value for fans as it marks the end of an era in Vijay’s cinematic journey before he turns his focus to public life.
