Official Plot And Storyline Of Tere Ishk Mein
The film centres around Shankar (played by Dhanush), an arrogant, aggressive and uncontrollable student leader known for his volatile behaviour. His life changes after an incident brings him in contact with Mukti (portrayed by Kriti Sanon), a research scholar working on a thesis based on non-violence and emotional control.
As part of her research, Mukti begins to guide and channel Shankar’s emotions, helping him control his anger. During this process, the two form a deep bond, and Shankar eventually falls in love with her, unaware that their relationship is also a subject of her academic study.
However, the truth comes out once Mukti’s research concludes. Feeling betrayed and used, Shankar is left heartbroken as Mukti walks away and later gets married.
Seven years later, fate brings them face to face again, reopening old wounds. The reunion forces both to confront unresolved emotions, leading the narrative into a gripping exploration of revenge, betrayal and emotional reckoning.
