Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Meets Tollywood Actors And Filmmakers

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], December 26: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is currently holding a meeting with prominent figures from the Tollywood industry at the Telangana State Police Command and Control Centre in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. The meeting is being attended by key actors, directors, producers, and other influential personalities from the industry.

The delegation is led by Dil Raju, Chairman of the Telangana Film Development Corporation (FDC), and includes actors such as Nagarjuna, Varun Tej, Sai Dharam Tej, Kalyan Ram, Shiva Balaji, Adavi Sesh, Nithin, and Venkatesh. Directors like Koratala Siva, Anil Ravipudi, K Raghavendra Rao, Prashanth Varma, Sai Rajesh, as well as producers including Suresh Babu, KL Narayana, Damodhar, Allu Aravind, and BVSN Prasad, are also present.

The meeting is expected to focus on the smooth operation and development of the Tollywood industry.

The meeting comes in the wake of recent controversies surrounding Tollywood. On December 4, a tragic incident occurred during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule, when a large crowd gathered to see actor Allu Arjun, leading to chaos and the tragic death of a woman named Revathi, with her child injured. Allu Arjun was briefly arrested before being released on bail after posting a Rs 50,000 bond.

Hyderabad police later questioned Allu Arjun regarding the incident. The situation escalated politically when Chief Minister Revanth Reddy blamed the actor for the tragedy, stating that the police had denied permission for the event due to safety concerns. Allu Arjun, however, refuted the accusations, calling them an attempt at “character assassination.”

Earlier this year, political tensions also arose when Telangana Minister K. Surekha made controversial remarks implicating former Minister and BRS leader KTR in the divorce of Tollywood actors Samantha and Naga Chaitanya. This sparked a backlash, with Nagarjuna Akkineni, Naga Chaitanya’s father, and other BRS leaders condemning the statements.
