Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav, has launched a scathing attack on the current Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha, calling him “useless.”
Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, Yadav criticized Sinha over his allegations that “RJD people” were involved in leaking examination papers.
“No one has seen a more useless Deputy Chief Minister than him. They say RJD people leak papers, so catch them, will we catch them? Show proof, catch them, and put them in jail with the help of CBI, IT, and ED. Do they (the government) have any achievements? Today, murders and loots are continuing, banks are being looted, and kidnappings are happening,” Yadav remarked.
Welfare Promises by Tejashwi Yadav
During the same address, Yadav announced the launch of the ‘Mai Behan Maan Yojana’, a welfare scheme promising financial aid to women if the RJD forms the next government in Bihar.
Highlighting findings from a caste-based survey conducted by the RJD, Yadav said, “We found that the income of 94 lakh families is less than ₹6,000. To financially strengthen women, we will deposit ₹2,500 per month into their accounts within a year of forming the government. Additionally, we will increase the social security pension from ₹400 to ₹1,500.”
Yadav also pledged to address Bihar’s high electricity costs, promising to provide 200 units of free electricity. Other developmental promises include creating the Seemanchal Development Authority and Kosi Vikas Pradhikaran to drive regional growth.
Election Dynamics
Yadav’s remarks and welfare schemes are seen as a strategic move to consolidate RJD’s position ahead of the next state elections. Meanwhile, Vijay Sinha and the ruling coalition are yet to respond to Yadav’s statements and announcements.
