Tejashwi Launches ‘Bihar Ka Tejashwi Pran’ Manifesto, Promises One Govt Job Per Family

Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, the chief ministerial face of the Mahagathbandhan (MGB), on Tuesday, released the alliance’s election manifesto, “Bihar Ka Tejashwi Pran” (Bihar’s Tejashwi Resolve). He called it a “vision document” to make Bihar the best-performing state in India.

The manifesto lays out an ambitious plan that focuses on creating jobs, empowering women, improving rural areas, and changing how the government works. At the launch, Tejashwi Yadav promised that the pledges were not only dreams but “pragmatic and achievable.”

Main Promises of the Mahagathbandhan Manifesto

Within 20 days after creating the government, every household should get one government job.

Permanent status and interest waivers for Jeevika Didis (women in self-help groups) and contract workers within 20 months.

A new law to stop papers from leaking during tests.

Women can get cash help every month through the Mai-Behen Yojana.

Free electricity for up to 200 units per household and cheap LPG cylinders.

Exempting toddy (a type of native liquor) from prohibition laws to help rural people make more money.

Taking away the 50% reservation barrier will provide OBCs, Dalits, and Tribals more chances.

Universal health care and MSP-based help for farmers that pays for their costs.

Industrial incentives to stop young people from moving away and bring in new businesses.

Repealing the Waqf Amendment Act if it violates state authorities.

Better policing and programs to stop communal violence in order to make Bihar “crime-free.”

Tejashwi Yadav: “Pran Patra” Is Not Just a Manifesto

Yadav called the manifesto his “Pran Patra” (resolve paper) and said it was a five-year plan to fight crime, unemployment, and migration.
He implored people to choose change over “negativity” and said, “I will fulfill them (Pran), even if it means giving up my life (Praan).”

He told the NDA administration led by Nitish Kumar, “We are not just making promises; we have a plan to make Bihar number one.” The NDA needs to show their CM face and vision.

Alliance Leaders Are All Together

Pawan Khera, a spokesperson for Congress, Mukesh Sahani, the head of the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP), and Dipankar Bhattacharya, the general secretary of the CPI-ML (Liberation), were all there. This showed how united the opposition bloc is against the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

Sahani, the alliance’s deputy CM face, stated, “This is our Sankalp Patra for a new Bihar—jobs, justice, and happiness for everyone.”

Tejashwi’s Warning to Officials

Tejashwi Yadav told government officials to be neutral during the elections and not give in to political pressure. He said that officials were being told to make things harder for MGB candidates, but he promised to “videograph everything” to show any misconduct.
“We ask officials to be fair. He said, “People who mess with the process may face consequences.”

Taking care of money issues

When asked if it was financially possible to give jobs to every family, Yadav claimed he had a detailed plan on how to do it, which he will share later.
He said, “NDA leaders said the same thing when I promised 10 lakh jobs before.” “We proved them wrong then, and we’ll do it again.”

NDA Responds with Criticism

The ruling NDA called the manifesto a list of “false promises.”
Chirag Paswan, a minister in the Union government, stated, “What’s the harm in lying if they don’t think they can win?” Tejashwi should remember that his family started the migration.

Nityanand Rai, the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, remarked that the MGB was “selling dreams.”
People in Bihar realize that these are the same leaders who once caused jungle raj. Rai said, “They won’t fall for this again.”

K.C. of the JD(U) Tyagi also responded by adding, “All the problems they are bringing up have already been solved under Nitish Kumar’s leadership.”

The NDA’s manifesto is due out on October 30. It will focus on the current government’s accomplishments in infrastructure and development.

What Experts Say

D.M. Diwakar, former director of A.N. The Sinha Institute of Social Studies called the MGB’s manifesto a “high-risk gamble.”
“It’s a populist but bold plan to get the youth and working class excited.” “This isn’t just a piece of paper; it’s Tejashwi’s plan to end RJD’s 20-year power drought,” he remarked.
