Teja Sajja’s ‘Mirai’ Earns ₹64 Crore In Its First Week At The Box Office

The action-fantasy movie Mirai by Karthik Ghattamaneni has done quite well at the box office in its first week, making more over ₹64 crore in India in just seven days. Teja Sajja, Manchu Manoj, Ritika Nayak, and Shriya Saran are in the movie, and it has done well since it came out.

The most recent box office report from Sacnilk says that Mirai made about ₹2.9 crore on its seventh day. This is in addition to a successful first week, which began with a ₹13 crore haul on the first day and then grew even more over the weekend, with ₹15 crore on Saturday and ₹16.6 crore on Sunday. The movie kept up its good momentum during the week, which shows that audiences were talking about it a lot.

The Movie

The story of Mirai is about Vedha (Teja Sajja), a young man who is meant to be a “super Yodha” or warrior. His job is to stop the evil Mahabir Lama (Manchu Manoj), also known as the Black Sword, from getting the nine holy books (grandhas) that Emperor Ashoka left behind. Vedha sets out to locate a weapon called Mirai to destroy Mahabir and keep the scriptures safe before it’s too late. The end of the movie leaves a lot of questions and sets up a sequel.

Manchu Manoj, an actor, talked about an important part of the conclusion in an interview with HT. He said that a lot of people had forgotten that his character couldn’t be beaten because of the nine grandhas. “Yes, but he has a shield,” I responded. He said, “He should be alive because he already has the ninth book.” He compared it to the historic battle between Ravana and Lord Rama, saying that Ravana couldn’t be beaten with just one blow. He intimated that the climax of the movie just sets the stage for a far bigger fight to come.
