Tej Pratap Yadav Offers To Serve As Pilot Amid India-Pakistan Tensions; Indian Army Responds To LoC Firing

Amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan following the launch of Operation Sindoor, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tej Pratap Yadav has expressed his willingness to fight for the country, citing his training as a pilot.

In a post on X, Yadav stated:

“If pilot training can be useful for the country, then I, Tej Pratap Yadav, am always ready to serve the country. For your information, I have also taken pilot training, and even if I lose my life for the country, I would consider myself fortunate. Jai Hind.”

Meanwhile, the Indian Army has responded proportionately to unprovoked firing initiated by the Pakistan Army across the Line of Control (LoC) during the night of May 7 and May 8, officials confirmed.

“During the night of May 7-8, Pakistan Army posts resorted to unprovoked fire using small arms and artillery guns across the LoC in areas opposite Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri and Akhnoor areas in J&K. The Indian Army responded proportionately,”
the Indian Army said in a statement.

The Pakistan Army had targeted regions opposite Kupwara and Baramulla districts, along with the Uri and Akhnoor sectors in Jammu and Kashmir.

This recent escalation follows the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed multiple lives and prompted India’s precision strikes on nine terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) under Operation Sindoor.

The strikes aimed to eliminate Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operatives and dismantle their infrastructure.

Defence sources revealed that 15 innocent civilians have been killed and 43 injured in artillery shelling by Pakistan since last night, which affected civilian areas in Poonch and Tangdhar.

The Indian Army continues to monitor ceasefire violations closely, ensuring readiness to respond to further provocations from across the border.
